Le p'tit musette

DUO

With Mario Bruneau at the accordion and the singer Hélène Cardinal, this duo specializes in old french chanson and musette accordion from Paris.  This is pure French Café music!

Among the bests representing that style, this duo has a reputation that spans beyond Quebec’s frontier being invited as far as Chartres in France in 1999 for the Accordion Festival “les Rencontres Européennes de l’Accordéon” and in 2005 at Chartres’ City Hall.  They where noticed at the Frankfurt MusikMesse in Germany in 2006.  A "reference" for that style in Canada.

This duo’s experience at LE BATEAU-MOUCHE in Montreal (more than a thousand representations that spanned from 1997 to 2004), Les FÊTES GOURMANDES, Magog’s FÊTE DES VENDANGESLE CORONA Theater and others (see CV), will guaranty your event’s success.

I have heard many singers try to capture the soul or essence of Edith Piaf, but none do it so well as your colleague Helene Cardinal. And her composition Le Temps, had I not read otherwise, would have been mistaken for Erik Satie. Such remarkable talent from a place of which few of us in the States have ever heard.

    All the Best,

    Monty
